MPPEB scam echoes in MP Assembly
Bhopal, Feb 23 (UNI) The issue of the Supreme Court's recent ruling cancelling admissions of more than 600 medical students involved in the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam today reverberated in the Assembly. Raising the issue during the Zero Hour, Sunderlal Tiwari (Congress) sought to know the action taken by the regime following the judgement. He said he has submitted a notice for discussing the matter through an adjournment motion. Mentioning that assurance for not confiscating assets of hailstorm-affected peasants had been provided by the dispensation, Jitu Patwari (Congress) claimed that the Electricity Board officials are impounding their belongings in night. He said he has submitted a notice for discussing the matter through a calling attention motion Raising the issue of reservation in promotion, acting Leader of Opposition Bala Bachchan sought to know the number of advocates ? representing the Government ? arguing the case in the Supreme Court. He alleged that the case was prolonging, as lawyers remained absent on the days of hearing.
