Jharkhand: BJP leader Pankaj Gupta Killed in Ranchi
Pankaj Gupta, Treasurer of Bharatiya Janata Party’s Lohardaga district unit was shot dead on Sunday, 11 March, at an eatery in the Nagri police station area of Ranchi, Jharkhand. Pankaj Gupta had visited Nagri in connection with a plot that he had bought some time ago. Pankaj Gupta, who was in his 40s and lived at Shastri Chowk in Lohardaga, reportedly took a train and reached the Piska-Nagri station around 8:30 am on Sunday, following which he visited an eatery near the station. While he was waiting at the eatery, two unidentified persons, one of whom was wearing a helmet, approached him from behind and fired bullets at him. The duo then reportedly turned and fled.
