Mumbai pays tribute to 2006 train blast victims
Mumbai, Jul 11 (ANI): Residents of Mumbai paid tributes to the victims of 2006 serial blasts today. The residents recalled the plaintive scenes of the incident as they paid tributes on Mahim Junction, one of the sites of the blasts. On July 11, 2006, seven blasts gripped Mumbai ripping through Mumbai trains. At least 186 people were killed and hundreds got injured in the blasts. BJP leader Kirit Somaiya also paid his tributes.'We come here every year from past 12 years to pay our tributes and pray for a terrorism free nation' said Kirit Somaiya. Survivors along with commuters and railway officials also paid tribute by placing floral wreath at the memorial inside the station.
