Govt to utilize MGNREGAs earnings in agriculture to double farmers income: Shivraj Chouhan
New Delhi, Jul 12 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan spoke to ANI on meeting of CMs sub-group held in New Delhi on Thursday. CM Chouhan along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the meeting on Convergence of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) and Agriculture Policy at NITI Aayog office. Speaking on the sub-group meeting, CM Chouhan said, ?Prime Minister Modi made a NITI Aayog sub-group to decide how MGNREGA?s income can come to agricultures use. Our aim is to double the farmers? income, of which one of the suggestions is to link MGNREGA?s income with agriculture.? It is the first meeting of the sub-group of CMs MGNREGA and Agricultural Policy where other Chief Ministers joined via video conference. NITI Aayog Member (Agriculture) Ramesh Chand also attended the meeting and presented details and inter-linkages between MGNREGA and agricultural costs and outputs.
