Three day wheelchair basketball summer training held in Srinagar
Srinagar (J and K), Jul 20 (ANI): A three-day wheelchair basketball summer training programme was held in India's northern Srinagar city in Jammu and Kashmir State on Wednesday. Young men and women from across the state participated in the programme. The special sessions were organised under the collaboration of Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS) and Wheelchair Basketball Federation. A participant, Irfan Lone, said that the joint training of beginner and experienced players will teach all participants to concentrate on their abilities. Meanwhile, other participants expressed their excitement for being able to take part in the training programme. Basketball coaches from India's northern Uttar Pradesh and western Maharashtra states were guiding these young basketball enthusiasts during the session. "We will help them understand the overall concept of the game so that they can conduct practice sessions of their own. The more they will consolidate, more creative they will become," said Varun Ahalawat, Basketball Coach and Co-organiser of the training programme.
