San Sebastian film festival to sign gender parity pledge

Washington DC, [USA] Sep 18 (ANI): After Venice Film festival, it is now Spain's San Sebastian Festival's turn to sign the gender equality pledge which guarantees equal representation of female talent. Spanish Deputy Prime Minister Carmen Calvo; the minister of culture and sport, Jose Guirao; the president of the festival's board of directors and mayor of San Sebastian, Eneko Goia will be among those witnessing the signing of the charter by the festival's director Jose Luis Rebordinos, reported Variety. San Sebastian film festival has at least one section dedicated to films directed by women. Venice film festival recently signed the 50/50 by 2020 gender equality pledge for having equality in their executive leadership. (ANI)
