Navratri: Devotees flock temples to offer prayers
Kangra (Himachal Pradesh)/New Delhi, Oct 11 (ANI): Devotees offered prayers nationwide on the second day of Navratri. They offered prayers to Goddess Durga. The second day of Navratri is dedicated to Maa Brahmacharini, a manifestation of Maa Durga. Brahmacharini?s avatar signifies love and loyalty, wisdom and knowledge. She holds a rosary in her right hand and a Kamandalu in her left hand. Devotees flocked New Delhi?s famous Jhandewalan Temple to offer prayers. Navratri is considered as most auspicious time of the year. The nine-day festival is celebrated with full fervor across the country. Special arrangements have been made in temple for the devotees. The temple witnesses four times the number of devotees during these nine days. Himachal Pradesh?s Kangra temple was also buzzing with prayers and devotees. The unique temple boasts of an all-encompassing architecture. The temple?s main gate is designed in the style of a Mosque, middle part as Gurudwara, while the main portion is designed as a temple.
