Govt School Teacher Sunita Sahrawat shot dead in Outer Delhi’s Bawana

A school teacher in Delhi was allegedly shot dead by unidentified miscreants on Monday morning, as per the police. Identified as Sunita Sahrawat, 38, the deceased lady was a resident of Bawana village in Delhi and was reportedly teaching at Government Senior Secondary School situated in Ferozepur town of Haryana.

A call was made to the Police Control Room at about 8 am informing about the shooting incident in Bawana area of New Delhi’s Rohini. When the police reached the spot, Sunita Sahrawat was found lying in a pool of blood and it came to be known that the teacher had sustained three bullet injuries – two in her chest and one in the stomach.

A mother of two including an 8-year-old son and a 16-year-old daughter, Sunita was declared dead on arrival to a nearby hospital. Her body was sent for a post-mortem examination following which I was handed over to the family.
