Mumbai: Girl foils mother’s suicide attempt
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India] Nov 30 (ANI): A 16-year-old girl came to her mother's rescue who was going to kill herself by jumping before a Mumbai local train. The incident occurred at the Western Line of Jogeshwari railway station at around 4.30 pm on Thursday. Putting her life at risk, the girl saved her mother, Sunita Widhale but the duo sustained injuries after being hit by the train. Both were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital. Police have confirmed that Sunita has lost her right arm in the incident and her condition is very critical, however, her daughter's condition is said to be stable. According to the police, Sunita, who is the sole earner of the family allegedly took the extreme step as she was unhappy with his husband who used to fight with her everyday after getting drunk. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
