AIBOC observes 24 hour strike demanding wage revision, increased pension
Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Dec 21 (ANI): All India Bank Officers' Confederation (AIBOC) observed a 24 hour strike on various issues including wage revision of bank officers, demanding focus on core banking activities, the proposed merger of Bank of Baroda, Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank and other issues. The organisation had earlier also conducted a similar strike but they received no results. They therefore put forth their demands again. One of the protestors said, ?The strike is called basically to demand that the wage negotiation should be done as per our demands. The pension should be increased, five day week should be implemented among others. We are waiting for 13 months for the wage revision.?
