Ranji Trophy :Cheteshwar Pujara guides Saurashtra to highest chase in tournament’s history

Opener Harvik Desai's maiden first-class century under the leadership of Cheteshwar Pujara helped Saurashtra pull off a record 372-run chase against Uttar Pradesh in Lucknow,making a place in the semi-finals of the Ranji Trophy.

The record for the highest successful chase in the tournament's history was previously held by Assam when made 371 runs in the fourth innings against Services in the 2008-09 season.

Harvik Desai's century was ably supported by half-centuries from Snell Patel (72), Cheteshwar Pujara (67*) and Sheldon Jackson (73*) as Saurashtra won the match by six wickets.
